Hi, new to your site. I am a fellow LBY sister. I am very interested in reading your past posts. So, tell me, what is in that dinner? It does look good. I'm just curious! ;D
I think I've had those before, but I didn't know what they were called. Thanks to this entry my ordering process has become a little easier! I was really suprised when I came to your blog because the Helen Keller quote you have on top is the quote I have at the bottom of all my emails! Thanks for the note! Do you drive a scooter in Kaohsiung? I don't think I'm brave enough for city driving! Blessings, Charlotte
Hi Faith. "Shiao long bao" are filled with pork and veggies. And kinda like a giant Chinese ravioli. Most people eat with soysauce and if you are Taiwanese--you would 9 times out of ten also add a spicy sauce to the mix. Oh! So! Good! These are among my favorite things here!! Claire: are these among one of the many amazing dishes you can prepare? what taiwanese food do you miss most? Charlotte: that's cool about the quote! I think you have to be able to embrace that spirit in order to live here! :)
Ahh . . . Lychees are GREAT!!!! I LOVE THEM!!!! Actually, that is probably what I missed the very most back in the States too--and breakfast "dan bings."

I have not had a chance to make it. I will try one day soon. I miss any kind of nightmarket food. But, I really miss Taiwanese lychees the most.
