tree house redefined

Anping tree house

There is an old house (really, rather a set of three houses) near my home called a "tree house."  But, it is not your typical "house in a tree."  No, rather, it is a "tree in a house."

The tree has literally taken up residence in these homes.

  1. Oh my goodness! That is amazing!!!
Did they purposely manipulate the trees to grow through the house?
    Does someone live there?

  2. There are no one live there because it was a warehouse which belong to Tait foreign company found by an UK businessman, James Tait, in 1867. This company belog to British East India Company. After 1945, this place was taken over by Taiwan Salt Industry; however, it's still managed to be a warehouse. There is an interesting thing that there are many bricks in the brick wall was taken from another famous historic spot--Fort Zeelandia.
