It might be singleness that's the "stinging point/concern" for you during this season, but your sharing also caused me to be reminded that truly, the only Person we need is Jesus, not a husband, not wealth, or long life, or even health. He's enough, the other things/people are the extra blessings as equally undeserved for me as Jesus Himself.<br>I remember when I was single and was still wondering/praying/waiting on the Lord, that to keep myself from pity-parties (and boy did I have some), I would remind myself of Job 1.21: "Naked I came from my mother's womb and naked I will depart. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away, may the Name of the Lord be praised." I would say to myself, "God doesn't owe you a husband (or anything else -- fill in the blank). You, Joyce, came with nothing, and came single, so if God doesn't give you a husband, that is as it should be, and will give grace accordingly and if He does (and I never assumed I would get married or even date), that too is grace."<br>"The more you have, the more you are in debt to God; and you should not be proud of that which renders you a debtor." amen.<br>joycehttp://rejoyce.blogspirit.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3385853462957713860.post-89680640057351895212006-11-09T10:00:15.000+08:002006-11-09T10:00:15.000+08:00I love to read your thoughts on singleness. I'm afraid you have a much better attitude about it than I ever did.<br>Bethanyhttp://picturesquelife.comnoreply@blogger.com
